1991 Toyota Celica ST Additional Info:
Runs better than it looks. Over 311,000 freeway miles. I got this vehicle from the person who purchased it off the showroom floor in 1991 and drove it out of town for work. He put a lot of miles on it and I've put a lot of miles on it, 2nd owner driving all over NC, TN, GA, MS, AK. Only use penzoil full synthetic 10w30 and change every 5000 to 6000miles
17" wheels, fairly new tires but these don't last long on the mountains. Body kit is about 8yrs old and it's falling apart (currently held in place with zip ties) so is the body decals. Needs a paint job, some bodywork and possibly the original bumper in front and back or another body kit if you like. It actually turned heads way back when. It's old and needs some tender love and attention. This paint and bodykit was not professionally installed so for what it's worth we did alright and got several years out of it.
My Celica have been dependable all the time I've had them, i had 3 at some point. I still have 2 if you're a collector and want to buy both this one and the 93 convertible GT which I'm also selling to make room for a family car. I just had my first son.
Only thing I know of wrong with this one now is that I replaced all the lights with led including dash lights except headlights now turn signals won't work back or front. While trouble shooting turn signal problem I replaced turn signal switch which is on the steering column and broke the speed indicator and did something to the gas gauge and now the air bag light and gas light are permanently on. Before I messed it all up there were no lights on the dashboard.
I've recently found out that led lights are directional. Unlike regular lights that will work no matter how or which way you install them, led have to be installed in the right direction else they won't work...well tell me about it. I'll let someone else whose willing and able give it a shot. I just had a baby boy and have to get rid of my celicas. Original transmission but engine was replaced in 2012 or sometime close.
