1990 Toyota Land Cruiser Additional Info:
I have a 1990 Toyota Land Cruiser HZJ73 (ebay doesn't recognize the Japanese VIN number). It has a 1HZ diesel engine - one of the best diesel engines ever made and still in production around the world. Imported from Japan last July and I purchased it from the importer in December. It is right-drive and speedometer and odometer are in km. Driving it does take getting use to but it turns heads everywhere you go.
It has a FRP top so it is removable but I have never done it. The windshield can be laid down as well (I've included a picture of one with the top off and windshield down).
I drive it about once every two weeks or so. I bought it with 84k miles (135,000km) and have put about 2k miles on it since. The tires are brand new since I've had it so they have 2k miles on them too.
The importer did the following:
at 83k miles
Front and rear differential fluid changed with 75/90 synthetic, transmission and transfer case fluid changed.Oil change, and oil, fuel and air filter changeReplaced thermostatRadiator flush, new heater and radiator hosesNew Rear brakes - Front brakes have about 50% wear.A/C charged with r134 refrig.Greased drivelines, u-joints, and steering and knuckles
at 84k miles
Replaced timing beltReplaced pulley tensionerReplaced water pumpRadiator flushed again
Everything works as it should. The previous owner removed the radio (see pic) and I have never gotten around to putting one in since I have a portable speaker.
The previous owner also repainted it black. There are some chips but overall as you can see it's a nice looking vehicle. I did clip the front left fender (see pic). I looked up the part and it runs about $500-$600.
The interior is very nice for its age. Seats have no holes or tears and no cracks in the dash. All items work except for the passenger door lock when trying to press from the driver main switch (does work manually). The roof lining is again in good shape for the age - no hanging but does have a couple little nicks.
It has a clean and clear title and registered in AZ. Emissions was done earler this year as well. I have the import papers and original vehicle manual but both are in Japanese. I also have an OEM Toyota oil filter I will include.
Basically its a fun vehicle to drive and extremely unique with a great engine. Again, I'm not in any hurry to sell but it does just sit in my garage for the most part. Any questions please ask. Buyer is responsible for pick up or arranging for shipping (I will assist as needed). If financing please have it ready to go before purchasing. Thanks for looking.
