1988 Suzuki Samurai Additional Info:
This is a rare 1988 Suzuki Samurai JX tin top that is in exceptional original condition. It only has a little over 70k original miles. It is equipped with AC and has a new AC compressor and the system works as designed. The original radio has been replaced with a nice Sony CD player that sounds good through the original speakers. The body is very straight with only a few minor dings on the body and the original paint looks great for a nearly 30 year old vehicle. All glass is perfect. Everything works on the Samurai including AC, Heat, windows/doors/locks, all 4WD components, wipers, horn and rear window defroster. The original clock lights up but the numbers are no longer legible. There are some minor tears on the driver's seat bottom where the release lever is to recline the seat and on the passenger's seat inside edge where the previous owner would put his fishing rods and some of the lures tore the passengers seat (see pic). The carpet and upholstery is all original and, other than the small tears, it is all in great shape, including the headliner. It runs and drives great with no known mechanical issues at all. The tires are less than a year old and have less than 2k miles on them. The Samurai is completely rust free on the body and undercarriage and has always been in dry climate areas. It was used as a tow vehicle for many years so many of the miles have been towed miles. The previous owner was a retired Ford mechanic and he put in a Ford style starter relay to fix the issue that all of these Samurais had with the starter (search Samurai clicky starter fix if you are not aware of this issue) so you don't have to worry about that issue. The transfer case shifts perfectly. Does not leak any fluids nor does it smoke or make any unusual noises. It gets lots of looks and I get asked to sell it nearly every time I drive it. You just don't find them in this condition very often anymore, especially the tin top model. I don't think any Samurai enthusiast would be disappointed to own this Samurai. I did pull up the original carpet to see the floors and the floors are gleaming white original paint with no signs of rust or corrosion at all. The floors looked like new. I do have a new all black spare tire cover that goes with the Samurai but I took it off to show the condition of the spare tire. This is a solid, excellent condition Samurai that could easily be a daily driver. The title is free and clear. It is an Arizona title and notarized.
