1982 Subaru BRAT Additional Info:

You are bidding on a very unique vehicle. A restored 1982 Subaru BRAT. There are not many left in any condition never mind restored. Selling reluctantly because I have two others. The vehicle was bought new at a local Subaru dealer and maintained at the dealer. I am the second owner and I did the restoration. Service records and window sticker available(sale price was $9,812.01.)
Odometer reads 102,000 miles but instrument panel replaced. Estimated mileage ~185,000miles.
The vehicle turns heads and people take pictures as I drive by. It runs goods and has been to many shows where it draws a lot of attention and has won 1st place in its category..
The old Subarus were noted for their rust. All rust areas on this car were removed with new metal welded in with paricular attention given to the frame rails. New rocker panels were installed.
Vehicle has many extras and numerous new parts listed below.
Lambo Doors-Subaru Roll Bar-Subaru Front Brush Pusher-Original Bed Seats with seat belts( still legal)- Subaru Fun Roofs (two sun roofs)-New paint job (Sunrise Yellow, extra qt included with sale)-Reupolstered seats with Subaru Logo- New door panels, ( vinyl with lower carpeting)-New carpeting and headliner- New custom yellow floor mats and bed carpet- Wood Steering Wheel-New tires-Oversize tire look in rear-New trim rings-Power coated wheels- New Fog lights- A/C has no belt ( never replaced it).
Engine completely tuned with new starter, new coil, new battery, rebuilt carburetor, new brake lines, new wiring, new fuel pump, new rear shocks, new exhaust system. All normal wear items replaced and I probably forgot to include some items.
The restoration can be considered a semi professional job with a few areas that may need attention. There is a small round bottom dent on the roof, not too visible. Also the bottom of a the door was recently redone to remove some rust and contours are not perfect. Should be redone.
As stated above the car runs good and is reliable with no known problems. It still sounds like a Subaru and is not the fastest car on the road with its 74 horsepower. I drive it around town and even on a 200 mile trip a few times a year. With two other restored BRATS and other cars in the drivewa, my wife says in time to downsize. I guess she doesn't like leaving her car in the snow anymore.
This car is sold as-is. It is available for inspection in central CT and I will send additional pictures if required.

Happy bidding!
