1992 Subaru SVX Additional Info:
This vehicle has been in my family for over 15yrs it was purchased from an attorney in San Francisco and has always been driven by adults. Through the years it has had many maintenance improvements. It had a factory re manufactured transmission at about 110000mi about the same time the factory remote transmission oil filter was installed along with a B&M oil cooler between the radiator and cooking coil, along with a Small Car Performance Shift Kit, About a thousand miles later the water pump sized, destroying all the belts. At the same time we had all of the seals on the front of the engine replaced. The brake rotors have been replaced with drilled and slotted units. The radiator has been replaced. Just recently I resealed the valve covers with new o rings and the special bolts. Also most of the little vacuum hoses under the intake manifold had turned to stone and had to be replaced, and while I was in there I noticed that the knock sensors had cracks in the insulation so they were both replaced. The mileage on the odometer is incorrect as the instrument cluster was replaced in an attempt to repair a malfunctioning fuel gauge. it reads correctly until it drops to about 1/2 tank then it drops to empty, but the fuel warning light still works correctly. Unfortunately this problem is still with us.
Also included in the auction are Factory Service Manuals and a Paper Parts Book. These parts books were never sold to the general public and are impossible to find now as the dealers are all strictly computer now. And obviously the original owners manual, a selection of magazines about the cars, and even the old VHS tape given to the original owner.
There are other extra parts, mostly odds and ends, but there is a complete used power steering rack and pinion. I bought this because they are no longer available and if it fails you have to go to s specialty shop and have yours rebuilt. Any way it all goes. and if the car is shipped it will all go in the trunk.
