1985 Subaru Subaru GL GL Additional Info:
This is a 2 owner very clean and pristine 1985 Subaru GL, 2 door hatchback, 2 wd, 4 wd high and 4 wd low, 4 spd manual transmission. The engine is the original EA81, 1.8 liter. To my knowledge it has never had the heads off. It starts, runs and drives just like it is suppose to. I did change out the carb to a Weber because the factory installed one was failing do to the gaskets rotting away. The valve cover gaskets, water pump, spark plugs, distributor cap, ignition rotor, spark plug wires, alternator and drive belt have all been replaced. The engine oil has been changed far sooner then every 3k. The car has a custom 4" lift kit on it. The spacers between the suspension and body are made of steel. The rear shocks have been upgraded to Rancho RS5000 and the front struts are new and made by Sach's. The front strut spacers were built by Anderson Design Fabrication. Since the factory wheel lug pattern is so rare, finding wheels other then the factory 13" is almost impossible. So the lug pattern was changed to 4 x 136mm which is used on several UTV's. The wheels are black, alloy, 14x5 with 27x8.50R14LT 6 PLY Mud Tires that have less then 20 miles on them. The car originally came with A/C, but the compressor failed years ago so it was removed and not replaced. All of the other A/C components are still in place. This vehicle turns heads any where that you drive it or just parked in a parking lot.
