1951 Studebaker Champion Regal Deluxe Additional Info:
This listing is for a--- hard to find---1951 Studebaker Champion Regal deluxe 4-Door Sedan, 6 cylinder with a 3 speed on the column. The car was purchased from the original owner in 1992 and I drove it from Green Bay, Wis to California with no mechanical problems whatsoever. It was a daily driver thru the 1990s. The car has been driven very little since that time but has always been garaged. A nice solid car with no rust. The car was restored (in the early 1980s) by the original owner who drove it in local parades, events and car shows. This older restoration stills looks good but shows wear. there are some chips in paint; The chrome lift for the trunk has pitting. There is a small amount of pitting on chrome around the tail lights. The interior is in good condition. The cloth fabric on the bottom of the driver's door shows some staining. There is a new rubber gasket for the trunk which will need to be installed. All glass is intact and in good condition. Headliner is in good condition. The radio works. The interior has a nice beige fabric-possibly woolen--- on the front bench seat and a Green vinyl fabric on the back seat. I have the Original Bill of Sale from Buth Motors in Green Bay, Wis and the original Owners Guide as well as some pictures from the original owner. As purchased the car included the added features of Door Locks, Directional Signals and Climitizer. The car is as purchased from original owner with the addition of tires, a new water pump, a new fuel pump, and a new brake master cylinder. This is not a show car however it is very presentable (see photos). In the last 10 years I have only driven the car short distances (10 miles each time) to circulate the oil. The carburetor probably needs some work as the car takes some time to start but then runs smoothly and has no driveability issues. The engine area has not been detailed and will need a good cleaning and TLC. Car must be picked up in Glennville, California (zip code 93226) which is 40 miles north east of Bakersfield, Ca on Highway 155. I do have some extra 1951 Studebaker parts which will go with the car. The car has current tags and insurance but successful buyer is responsible for insurance prior to moving the car to its new home. The car must go by trailer since it has not been driven any distance for a long time.
This vehicle is sold AS IS and does not come with any expressed or implied warranty. Buyer is responsible for arranging and paying for any transport. Prospective buyers are welcome to view the car.
