Not for the purist, but this eye candy will bring out your inner ego as you drive by and people gawk at your Golden Hawk. This rare classic is one of the 4000 manufactured in 1957. Just detailed, this beauty is arctic white with gold accents inside and out. The doors, windows, trunk and hood all operate well. Recently, the car had an oil change, spark plugs replaced and brakes adjusted. Late last year all four tires were replaced with Coker wide whites. It has an electric fuel pump for easier starting and a continental kit on the trunk (not original to car but aftermarket add-on). Maintained and protected in an enclosed garage in a mild climate. Clean title. Lightly driven about 2 miles to the YMCA a few times a month and engine runs well (See video)
Over my 27 years of ownership, I have replaced the master cylinder, wheel cylinders and brake shoes, the water pump, the U joints, front exhaust pipe, and hood insulation. It needs the supercharger rebuilt (currently has a Paxton with no belt - not the original) and paint touch up on engine area and bottom of trunk lid. When I purchased the car, the radio didn't worked (still doesn't) and the owner said the speedometer was replaced so mileage is not original. Car was shipped from California and appears to have a solid frame - I couldn't see any rust damage underneath however there is surface rust under the felt in the trunk. The is also a tire jack in the trunk that appears to be original to the car.
