Description: This 1964 Studebaker Avanti is one of 1,833 R2 examples produced for the 1963 and 1964 model years and is among just 809 Avantis sold for the 1964 model year. It is powered by a Paxton-supercharged 289ci V8 linked with a three-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential, and it is finished in maroon over red vinyl upholstery. Equipment includes a dual exhaust system, power-assisted front disc brakes, power steering, spoke-style wheel covers, a push-button AM radio, woodgrain interior trim, and a Beauty Vanity. Interior: The front bucket seats and rear bench are trimmed in red vinyl upholstery. Aircraft-throttle-inspired climate controls on the center console are complemented by overhead switchgear for lighting and fan control.
