1959 Studebaker Scotsman Additional Info:

A 1959 Scotsman Studebaker NAPCO 4x4 1/2-ton pickup. Studebaker only made "153" 4x4 NAPCO Studebaker trucks in 1959 and only "9" of those were 1/2 ton. Studebaker has confirmed these low production numbers, and I have the paperwork. This is a very rare complete running truck but needs some brake work. It yard drives and shifts through gears smoothly along with the 4x4 transfer and locking hubs working properly. There is very little rust on this truck and the rust through is limited to a couple of 2-inch spots. One on the bottom of passenger door and the other in the bed of the truck. The truck is very solid and reliable.I listed truck on Ebay a few years ago, making the reserve but the buyer didn't follow through with the sale.I found the truck in Eastern Colorado with the front end disassembled but the engine had been rebuilt along with other needed Maintenance. I bought it from the original owner from Walsenburg Colorado. Original owner ordered it from the Studebaker dealership in Walsenburg and keep it on the family farm until I purchased it. I realized soon after starting process of putting the truck back together, that a few parts were hard to find, so I assumed that was why the truck remained disassembled after it received a compete engine overhaul. The truck starts easy and runs strong but is in need of brake work. I had the brakes working 5 years ago and had replaced the brake master cylinder along with one of the wheel cylinders, but it has another leaky wheel cylinder along with needing the drums turned. I can help with loading because it drives easy, even without brakes. I also have a winch that we can use to help load, if need be. The truck is located in Locust Grove, Oklahoma 74352.A $1000 Deposit has to be paid immediately upon purchase and the balance paid in full before truck is released. No exceptions! Truck will need to be picked up within 2 weeks.
