Up for auction we have this nice all original Arizona pick up. It is a very solid truck with only surface rust (patina). There are no rust through or repairs. Just what you would expect in an Arizona truck. It was ordered new and shipped to Tucson with factory air conditioning and automatic transmission. The exterior has been left alone and only had linseed oil applied to preserve the finish. At one point the interior has been completely redone to factory specs and looks very good. The engine is a 259 V8 which runs out well and starts every time. Over $4000 has been invested in repairs over the last year and a half. These include brake system totally rebuilt, including master cylinder and wheel cylinders and necessary brake hoses. New U joints. Wheel bearings greased and re-packed. A new transmission cooler was also added. The air conditioner does not work, but the blower on the unit does. Wipers, turn signals, headlights all work fine. Blower motor on heater does not work however it does get heat flowing through into cab. The gas gauge and radio do not work. Passenger window has a crack near the bottom as you can see in one of the photos. As previously stated it runs very well however, it does have a slight hesitation upon acceleration from a stop. Was told that it is probably the vacuum advance unit. Engine does leak some oil after it is sitting, but does not smoke when started or when running. There is no power steering or power brakes. The body of the truck does have its fair share of dings and dents, and there are some extra holes in the body where there were things mounted to the truck. If you look closely at the passenger door you can see it says Thompson’s Cabinet Shop. Tucson AZ. So I am guessing it was used as a delivery truck and had racks mounted to it. What is also nice about this truck that it features a full 8 foot bed. Tires are in very good condition. Included with the sale is a canceled Arizona title and a build sheet from the Studebaker museum as well as some other Arizona documentation. This is a great truck for showing or going. I use it regularly to haul whatever is necessary. That is the beauty of an unrestored original patina truck. Please feel free to ask questions, and I will respond as soon as possible. Happy bidding!

The lettering on the door says Thomas Cabinet Shop, not Thompson’s Cabinet Shop. Sorry for the mistake.
