1913 Studebaker Model 25 - Ford T style nice as a Cadillac or Packard Barn Find Additional Info:

For sale here we have a beautiful and rare 1913 Studebaker Model 25 Touring. At the dawn of the automobile age around 135 years ago no one knew what a Horseless Carriage should look like or how it should be powered. Wagon makers since the middle of the 19th Century, the Studebaker Brothers of South Bend - Indiana had been active in commercial vehicle manufacture long before the arrival of the 'Horseless Carriage’. Having made a fortune out of horse-drawn transportation, the Studebaker Brothers Manufacturing Company built the first of its own automobiles - an ‘Electric’ designed by Thomas Alva Edison - in 1902 and its first gasoline-powered motor car - an 8hp twin - late in 1903. The 1913 Studebaker featured here had its first restoration done in California back in the 1950's, a second cosmetic restoration was performed later but the date is unknown. This 110 years old historic automobile was a very active participant at many Horseless Carriage Tours in California and later was displayed in a small private museum, last California registration was done in February 2012, the car was not driven after that, will need new fluids before attempting to turn on the motor and drive it. Beautiful vintage color combination, very light gray body - black fenders, black running boards and red artillery wooden wheels, inline 4 Cylinder engine, cast-iron cylinder block, three-speed sliding-gear transmission built in unit with the rear axle. Nice and clean engine compartment, nice and clean interior, folding-down windshield, vinyl convertible top - top is in old condition but still functional, very clean underneath and no rust at all. What you see in the pictures is the actual 1913 Studebaker for sale, pictures in the listing were taken 3 days ago. Clean Arizona title in hand, car is titled as 1913 Studebaker Model 25, ready to go to a new home !
