1962 Studebaker Lark Regal Convertible. There were only 2,681 Convertibles produced in 1962 (2,599 in US and 82 Exported) when Studebaker and Packard joined to make this by Studebaker, they broke the mold. It is a truly outstanding example of the type of luxury and design features for early 60s classic cars. The Lark was manufactured by Studebaker-Packard Corporation. 1959 until 1962. In mid-1962, the company dropped Packard from its name and reverted to its pre-1954 name. Built in Studebaker's South Bend, Indiana, home plant, the Lark and its descendants were also built in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, from 1959 to 1966 by Studebaker of Canada Limited. First generation (1959 - 1961). Pristine Skybolt OHV I6 170 cu in engine. The undercarriage is in very very good condition for a car of this age it features V-shaped a arms top and bottom in the front and rear leaf spring suspension. Paint is a beautiful Velvet Black code 10, original paint over original sheet metal. A couple very small flaws. Rocket style pointed three ring tail light lenses with stainless steel bezels. Dual headlight side by side with beautiful beauty rings. The chrome bumpers the trim the emblems all are in amazing condition on this. The black convertible top is it near perfect condition and has an amazing fit, no wrinkles no creases no tears. Outstanding red and white two-tone vinyl interior. Large vinyl wrapped red steering wheel with beautiful horn ring rod. Original a.m. radio. Gas gauge in temperature gauge and warning lights for AMP & OIL PRESSURE. Unique rib stitched vinyl dash pad. Steel wheels were some of the most uniquely designed hubcaps ever made. They have a full outside circle of yellow rectangles. A hill and valley non-flat surface and beautiful bright red “S” Studebaker logo. Era specific non-radial polyurethane tires. Big thick white walls. This vehicle is either classic, antique, exotic, super rare, or all of the above. This vehicle is on consignment from a very large collection of vehicles. They are being sold as museum quality cars which means they may not run or drive and may not have run or driven in numerous years. The vehicles are of a condition where they would be on display in a museum. As museum pieces we were required to disconnect or remove batteries and drain fuel tanks. Once again, these vehicles have not been driven, or even started in quite some time.
