1961 Studebaker Champ Deluxe Additional Info:
This 1961 Studebaker Champ Deluxe pickup is a nicely restored example of distinct vintage motoring. So if you like to stand out while you turn back the clock, check out the details on this truck.
This is quite a show-worthy package. In fact, if you are a fan of the Hemmings Vintage Trucks Calendar, you may already recently have spent a month with this one... it was used for the July 2020 page. This one has the tall stance of a workman, but there's also a ton of vintage flair. The red paint has the vibrant look of a modern quality respray. So the sunlight show off the well-done bodywork as the Lark-inspired front end flows into a muscular bed design. And speaking of the bed, the finish applied over the oak wood on the bed floor and removable side stakes has a gloss that rivals the paint. This has all the best details with plenty of upgraded chrome on the bumpers, grille, and side trim. The wheels have classic Studebaker hubcaps, and we love how the whitewalls coordinate with the body's white pinstripe. This was an expensive procedure to get a truck that looks this good, and we know exactly why they made this kind of investment. It's believed Studebaker produced less than 7,700 consumer pickups across the entire line in 1961, and well over half a century later, the survivors are few and far between. So, to have it finished to at this level means you know you're looking at a very unique truck.
The exterior red returns inside. It's now joined by a tasteful black on the seat, carpeting, and dash. The experience inside this pickup is truly authentic, right down to the large dual-spoke steering wheel that gives a clear view to the correct classic gauges. A classic truck needs to be a simple machine when you want a true time capsule-like style, but this one still leaves room for some terrific details. You see it in great pieces like the AM radio that's still cranking out tunes, the working heater, and the way the pattern of the seat is continued on the dash pad. Plus, this one has the rare sliding rear window option for that proper old school pickup breeze going through the cab.
The investments didn't stop when they got to the engine bay, and so you'll proudly display the very authentic 170 cubic-inch straight-six. You'll get plenty of people marveling at the exterior-matching inner fender walls and distinct yellow valve cover. And more than just look good, you can tell by the quality of the belt, wires, and hoses that this classic was still meant to drive. And when you look at the undercarriage photos, you see an exceptionally clean truck that tells you no detail was overlooked. So feel free to fire up this Studebaker, enjoy the column-shifted three-speed manual transmission, and experience true classic motoring.
Rarity, nostalgia, and style all come together in this shapely restored Studebaker Champ Deluxe pickup. So if you love a proper classic truck, you know you can't let this one slip away. Call today!!!
