This car looks great, in and out, and gets lots of attention, but probably not a concourse candidate. I would rate the paint at least as good as, and probably better than, what it came with from the factory. It had a 2 stage repaint in the original color as part of the restoration in 2006. At that time, both front fenders and both rockers were replaced, as well as floor patches installed. I have pictures of the restoration showing minor bondo repairs at that time. Please search U toobe for “1966 Studebaker Daytona For Sale” to view an extensive 6+ minute video of the exterior of the car. Please look at the entire video and feel free to ask questions. Or I can shoot you the link on request, if Ebay allows that. Mechanically, the car runs good. Brakes were recently inspected, with lots of lining and no leaks at the wheel cylinders. The fluid was flushed and refilled with new and there is solid pedal feel and the car stops straight. The car upshifts and downshifts properly, but will need the kick down linkage adjusted. The 2nd owner reported that he had the AC system tested and it was determined that the compressor needed seals replaced. I have not verified this diagnosis. All original AC components are there. Heater and radiator hoses were recently replaced, along with belts. The car starts right up, there is no indication of any oil usage and it doesn't smoke. It does leak oil slightly from the oil pan. I suspect the pan gasket needs to be replaced. I reserve the right to end early, as the car is being advertised locally (New England area). The reserve is very reasonable. A perfect one, similar to this, sold at auction for $20K+ last year.
