1959 Studebaker Lark 2 Door Wagon Gasser Additional Info:
1959 Studebaker Lark 2 door station wagon. Car was brought up from Florida in 2014, build began shortly after. The original all metal front clip was fabricated to create a custom tilt front end and was nicely done. A straight axle was installed with all new front end components and new disc brakes. Engine compartment was blasted and painted before dropping in a new 468 BBC w/750 CFM carb and HEI distributor. Transmission is a freshly rebuilt Muncie 4-speed w/high performance clutch package. New drive shaft connects the new Cuda Dana 60/35 spline rear end with wheelie bars attached. Car sits on nice period correct Halibrands and cheater slicks.Engine starts right up and runs excellent. Transmission shifts well and car goes down the road good, though I have not driven it far nor have I tried to do anything crazy with it. I wont say ALL the hard work and ALL the expensive work is done (like most do)... I will say a considerable amount of time and a fair amount of money have been invested, with the understanding it will not be recouped.
Car is in black primer, body appears straight and solid. Depending on what you're looking for, car could use final body work and paint but is completely acceptable as is. Interior needs to be completely gone through but does function as is. Underneath also appears solid, with miner rust in the floor boards. Although she's a project and not a queen... for the money I don't think there would be any disappointments.
If you're a gasser or 2 door wagon Guy/Gal, what a unique and rare find this car is! The pictures say it all and I don't know about you but I've never seen one before. All in all the reserve is set low with the intent to sell. I've been honest with the description and would be happy to answer any questions you may have. Good luck bidding.
