1956 Studebaker Transtar Additional Info:

I have relisted it as a "buy it now" and or a "Make Offer" any reasonable offer will be considered but it is a RARE 1956 Studebaker Transtar Pick Up V8 with a manual 3 speed on the column with overdrive. Truck is in great shape to be 61 years old. Has the original motor and transmission according to the casting numbers:engine# 535801,cab # 1392 ..it Runs and drives great. Transmission linkage shifts great and overdrive works as it should. Truck has some rust (shown in pics) but very little considering its age. Still has original paint underneath the black in places where the weather did not fade it away. All the glass is in it. The windows roll up and down great. Overall it is a very solid truck and a joy to drive. As far as the paint job, it was painted black when i purchased it several years ago. I started sanding and found some of the original paint and liked the look of it through the black and left it that way.It has new master cylinder, steel brake lines, and rubber hoses going to the wheel cylinders, the front two wheel cylinders and brake shoes are new also. I have the original radiator for the truck, that has a small pinhole, as seen in pics,so i found a radiator that would fit just so i could drive the truck on occasion. The seat is original The fuel tank originally was mounted behind the seat, the previous owner removed it to make more room in the cab and mounted a fuel cell in the bed of the truck.I have the original climatizer heater fan motor, original spare tire holder for underneath truck,it has an off brand flowmaster type muffler that goes from 1 inlet to two outlet, it has the original steel wheels on it with just some wheel covers over them.I also have an original service manual and a parts manual that are in very good shape, the service manual has some documentation of things that have been done to the truck over the years for this truck that will go with it at time of sale.Buyer should arrange to have the truck picked up from my location.**( depending on your location, I could possibly arrange meeting/delivery of truck for a per mile fee).** Please feel free to ask any questions and if you would like to see a pic of anything in particular, let me know.l. Thank you and good luck!!***:

The tires are in decent shape, they have good tread left on them, they hold air and don't go flat, the floor boards are not rusted out, nor is the original steel bed floor, this would make someone a very nice piece to restore back to it's original beauty, I had every intention on doing so myself even though it is an eye catcher just as it is, it's time to pass it on to the next person who loves oldies as much as I do, thank you and may God bless.
