1942 Studebaker Champion Additional Info:

The rarest of all rare Studebaker's. Genuine model year 1942 Studebaker Champion Coupe. Truly a one-of-a-kind car. According to Rodder's Digest, fewer than 500 Champions of all models and configurations were assembled before the end of production in mid-January 1942. Factory stainless steel trim indicates this car's original assembly dated to between August and October 1941. Body-off custom build. Chassis is boxed, solid. Body is chopped 3 inches, channeled 3 inches and sectioned 3 inches. Hand-fabricated all-steel dash and center console. Fatman front clip.Stainless steel fuel tank. Custom-cut bronze-smoked glass all around. Shaved hood, doors and truck. Interior inlaid and trimmed with genuine Ostrich skin. Corvette LS6 drive-train includes ZO6 motor, 4L60E automatic transmission, 1800 stall torque converter, 353:1 posi-traction rear end, and 4-wheel disk brakes. Sale includes (6) additional rear tires, Studebaker books and manuals, and a photographic record of build-out.
