1953 Studebaker Starliner commander hardtop K style.
Deep purple satin finish. striped to bare metal and painted 2011.
Hood and trunk are fiberglass.
2010 6.2L LS3 original aluminum block and heads with under 23K from a sierra truck. LS3 conversion done by Street and Performance in Mena AK. included all new LS3 cam andvalve train. valve job, head gaskets and tune.
Exhaust is custom using C5 titanium mufflers. Sanderson ceramic shorty headers
engine wiring harness by PSI using an ECU from 2010 corvette.
Painless 14 circuit throughout installed by custom DC electric.
Tremec TKO500 5 speed modified by liberty performance shift rails, springs and forks. Steeda tri-ax shifter, Spec clutch and flywheel. custom 4" drive shaft.
1984 corvette C4 suspension F/R with energy suspension bushingmaster kit installed. the C4 suspension was professionally installed into a heavily reinforcedoriginal frame. entireC4 front cradle welded in.
Steering is C4 power rack and pinion
custom built dana 36 rear endto dana 44 specs or better.
upgraded front breaks to C5 with Hawk pads all around from VBP, ABS Power Break electric high pressure master break booster.
front sway bar upgraded to 32MM, rear 24
wheels are corvette magnesium painted gunmetal metallic gray. F-17x8.5, R-18x9.5, with Nitto NTO1 tires, less than 500miles
interior has working set of DOT style seatbelts along with a pair of racing style 4point harnesses when the back seats are removed.
this Studebaker is not only fast but gorgeous. it has over 450HP and weighs in at just 3000Lbs.
not only does it go fast but it stops fast with upgraded 4wheel power disk breaks.
so the question everyone asks is Why am I selling it. Because I just bought another 53 hardtop and want to build a full race La Carrera style using a C5 Ls3 combination.
this car drives like a dream on the street yet keeps up with the Camaros and mustangs at our local autocross and hill climbs.
car does not have headliner but does have sound deadening foam panels. does not haverearinterior side panels orcarpet. interior windlace is not installed F/R

ADDITIONAL THOUGHTS: Nitto NTO1 275/40/18 rear. 255/40/17 fronts Bilstein shocks. parking break is done with a line lock on the front breaks door latches are electric through a key fob and buttons on the inside. there is an alarm with motion sensor there is a break bias valve on the rears. there is a set of DOT seat belts for the back seat Clutch is wildwood hydraulic. easy of the leg. THINGS THAT DONT WORK: No heater, No Ac, drivers vent is closed off due to fuse panel. no sun visors. will add more as I think of it.
