1955 Studebaker Commander Additional Info:
Original 1955 Studebaker Commander 4dr. sedan finished in "Velvet Black" over "Coraltone". Sold new at McCallister Auto Company in Albuquerque, ew Mexico, his car became a restoration project of the previous owner which was subsequently abandoned.The overall description:The car shows the typical Studebaker rust in areas such as the front fenders, ront floor boards and trunk corners. Paint and interior are entirely factory original but show the wear of age and exposure to the elements; entire interior will have to be redone. The right rear door glass and windshield are cracked. Body is straight with no serious or major body damage other than bent corners of the rear of the hood. The chrome & trim were largely removed, ut much of it is present and can be re-used. Known to be missing is the center grill section, eadlamp trim and hood ornament. Also absent are the original radio, arburetor and OEM air-cleaner.

What is known to need attention:This car will require a complete restoration including, ut not limited to some rust repair/metal replacement work (front floor boards, ear trunk corners and front fenders), aint, pholstery, tc.The condition of the drive-train is unknown and has not been touched since acquiring the car some 10 years ago.Original AM radio removed and missing.Right rear door glass and windshield will need replacement.New tires will be necessary.
This car deserves to be saved and restored despite it being a much maligned 4-door sedan; when was the last time you saw an original "pink" mid-Fifties Studebaker??Please give this Commander a good home where it will be appreciated, njoyed and preserved.
