CMC is pleased to have extremely original 1966 Sunbeam Tiger in our showroom. the original 260 Cubic Inch V8 and backed by the 4-Speed Top loader, this is one special ride.

The history of the Tiger is quite amazing. The Roots Company was looking for car company to pair a small block V8 into the Alpine Sunbeam. After carefully consideration, the chose Ford and used a 260 V8. Carol Shelby and Ken Miles both built prototypes for the Roots Company. In the end, Carol Shelby's prototype was the chosen one and the tiger was born.

Our Tiger is known as a Mark 1A as it's has some updates from the original. A total of only 2706 Mark 1A Tiger were built. The survival rate was not good as these were fast little cars.

This particular Tiger is a very original example with one repaint. The Tiger has only 60,262 Actual miles from new. The car still retains original paint on firewall and engine bay. The car has all of the original ID plate on the car and they have never been removed including the JAL number.

The car is powered by the 260 CI v8 which runs very strong. The car has the original valve covers with the original valve cover identification plate still attached.

The exterior was refreshed in original color code, Carnival red. The interior is the original black with red binding. The black convertible top is in good condition. All chrome and trim appears original and is in remarkable condition.

The body is absolutely rust free with original metal in floors, trunk, and body. This was a very well preserved classic that was in collection for many years.
