1965 Shelby Cobra Additional Info:

I am pleased to present this turbo powered 2002 (year body was refurbished and appears as such on registration) Innovative Street Machines AC Cobra Replica. If you grew up with dirt between your toes and even a passing interest in cars, you know the Shelby Cobra. You know where it came from, who built them, and what they accomplished in autosports history. How a fast-talking Texan conned and swindled his way toward the realization of a car that would change the course of racing history. This powerplant is where this car really stands out from the normal Cobra with a Dart aluminum block, CompCams camshaft, valve seats and retainers, Arrow Precision connecting rods, ProCharger blow-off valve, Mahle pistons and rings, ported Dart heads, ARP head bolts, Craine valve springs along with a long list of other add-ons to make way more power than you'll ever need, especially in this incredibly lightweight package. The engine bay is a thing of beauty, highlighted by Mission Racing valve covers, a massive turbo, intercooler piping and a full MSD ignition system cranks it all to life at an instant. It cackles through the side pipes like a machine that makes real-world horsepower and as you ease out the clutch in first gear, you'll understand why these cars remain so insanely popular year-after-year; the performance is explosive. Power 4-wheel disc brakes are powerful enough to slow this beast and hide behind chrome Centerline Corona wheels that are ideal for a Cobra like this. The rubber is from B.F. Goodrich, measuring 215/60R15s in front and a 255/50ZR16s out back. The interior is simplified with wrap-around low back buckets, silver leather, and a Sony radio and Pioneer speakers. The painted dashboard houses new ProComp Ultra-Lite instrumentation that consists of a 160-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure fuel pressure, boost pressure, water temperature, battery voltage, fuel level and even a TurboSmart boost controller in the drivers cab. Beautifully built and insanely fast, this is the Cobra we all wish for when we entertain the thoughts of building our own. This Cobra is a beast!
