This Shelby convertible left the factory finished in Candyapple Red with a white convertible top. It was repainted as part of the aforementioned 1986 refurbishment and was refinished again in 2010. Details include gold side stripes, a vented fiberglass hood and nose extension, a fiberglass trunk lid with a ducktail spoiler, rectangular driving lights, quarter panel air scoops, a roll hoop, side mirrors, and dual exhaust outlets that exit through the center of the rear valence. Bright trim adorns the rear bumper, windshield surround, and front fascia.
There is a brand new, white convertible top in my possession. Buyer will receive the new part, with the agreement that it is their responsibility to replace it.
This 1969 Shelby Mustang GT500 is one of 335 convertible examples produced for the model year and was initially ordered by and delivered to Larson Ford of White Plains, New York. I acquired this car in 1981, and it underwent a full refurbishment which was completed in 1986. It is finished in red with gold side stripes.
