1965 Shelby Cobra Additional Info:

Only 5,115 miles on this Cobra since it was built in 2005. They did a great job of keeping true to the original using the signature colors, wheels, steering wheel, gauges etc. It's an exhilarating ride. It has a hard to find automatic trans.
EXTERIOR: This is a fiberglass reproduction of the 427 body style. It looks to be in excellent shape; no damage or issues. Repainted a beautiful Daytona Blue metallic with silver stripes. It's laid out nice and the clear coat is smooth and glossy. There are a few minor nicks and touch ups. The chrome was all new when it was built. It has Cobra wing windows, custom billet grill inserts and bullet mirrors. It also has the racing style pop up gas cap. We just installed brand new Halibrand 17x9 wheels and performance tires.
INTERIOR: It looks authentic inside too. The automatic shifter is even disguised as a 4-speed. Nice, matched set of gauges and a Shelby style Moto Lita steering wheel. The carpet and upholstery are in excellent shape. It has racing style seat belts.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It has been fitted with a 351 Windsor motor with some performance upgrades. It has a hotter cam, high rise intake, a big dual feed Holley carb, electronic ignition and headers. The motor is dressed up with Cobra valve covers and air cleaner. A unique feature is power steering, it's effortless. It runs cool with an aluminum radiator and electric fan.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has a power trunk release. Inside is a simple black compartment.
UNDERSIDE: All the components were new at the time of the build. It has a boxed frame with plenty of supports, it looks substantial. Upfront is a Mustang ll independent suspension with rack & pinion steering. In backbit has a Ford 4 link suspension. Disc brakes at all 4 wheels, stainless braided hoses. E-brake assembly is hooked up. Looking up at the motor it is spotless, it has a high torque starter. The trans is a Ford AOD 4 speed automatic overdrive. It has an external oil cooler.
SERVICE: We inspected the car and replaced the freeze plugs, rebuilt the carb, set the timing, replaced the shifter, gave it an alignment and brand new tires/wheels.
I like that it looks like a vintage Cobra. These are exhilarating cars: the roar of the pipes, the open air and go cart like handling are fun!
