This replica of the famed 1965 Cobra 427 Roadster is based on a 1971 Corvette donor, is equipped with a professionally built 454 Chevy Big Block, 5 speed Richmond manual transmission, and is fitted with a fiberglass 427 Roadster body and custom fitted interior. Titled as a 1992, this Cobra replica shows about 9,000 on the odometer since completion. This is a clean "no hit" body with one owner of record.
The heart of this beast is a professionally built Chevy 454 based Big Block motor featuring Brodix heads, polished side exit exhaust pipes, and a dual feed 4bbl carburetor set up. Ignition and spark come courtesy of a MSD. The entire affair is kept cool with an Evans waterless system and Fluidyne radiator.
The fiber glass body is finished is black with silver LeMans stripes, the ribbon running down the dash. Seats and Door cards are leather, gauges set in a bezel of brushed aluminum. The signature three spoke wood wheel with Cobra center cap completes the look. The over effect is clean, purpose oriented, but not Spartan.
The front suspension is '71 C3 Corvette. A four-link Ford 9" setup with adjustable coil-overs keep the rear planted to the ground. Pin-Drive wheels are shod in staggered BF Goodrich Touring T/A's. Four wheel disc brakes round out the chassis setup.
This Cobra is well kept, in climate controlled, professional indoor storage. Purchase includes build photos, owner history, and receipts.
