Original owner spent over $80,000 in 1998 to factory build (not a kit) with all the best possible equipment (i.e. Halibrand mag wheels). This is a top of the line, uperformance Factory built (the only Shelby Licensed builder) Mark III Cobra. Perfect in every way and detail. Better than a 427 side oiler unless of course you are an absolute purist (but then you should be spending $200,000 rather than $60,000).
It also comes with a Carroll Shelby signed glove box cover and a matching CSX name plate. There’s also a photo of Carroll Shelby signing the glove box cover that will go with the car
Note – Excerpted From the Superformance Factory Web-site: “Superformance Chassis' are the only Cobra replica's on the market that are Shelby Licensed products” (This is important and critical to know as an aftermarket Cobra Buyer). According to Carroll Shelby "Fact is, oon as it's less than a real Cobra, ot built by me, t's counterfeit. There’s an exception when it comes to Jimmy Price and Lance Stander from Superformance International. Superformance International makes replica Cobra in South Africa and calls the two-seat roadster they build the MKIII. It's still not a true Shelby, ut I've endorsed and licensed the car for being as close to correct and well-built as possible. I can't say the same for others."
This car is a Superformance beauty (and major muscle car) in every way and more than a pleasure to drive. Easy to drive, ast of course and sounds awesome. Easily insurable with the 302 V-8 Vs the 427 (My annual insurance rate for full coverage is less than $300), nd literally this car has been maintenance free for me. An oil change annually and that’s it! Did all the Lights and smog items required for California registration back in 2006, o I’m certain no matter where this car ends up, ou’ll not have any registration issues.
In reality, his is as close as you can get to a real Shelby Cobra as you’ll ever get without spending $200 Grand to get one! And you won’t be afraid to take this one out and drive it! The frame and suspension are pure Shelby. You’ll never feel second-class even when attending Cobra rally’s. This is a perfectly built machine that drives and handles like a true racing sports car (better than one friends BMW and another’s Porsche [their words not mine – no offense meant to those BMW and Porsche fanatics out there, nd yes, know I’ll get some blow-back on this statement).
