Up for grabs needs no introduction to those in the Saab community. This is a fully original Saab 900 Turbo SPG (Special Performance Group) or Aero as it was known in Europe. This can of course be verified by the VIN for those 'in the know'. The car ran and drove when it was parked. Now it is struggling to turnover, might be the fuel pump or just need a change of gas. Either way, the buyer would need to have it towed. To do so economically, I recommend a U-Haul Tow Dolly and am willing to help the buyer get it on properly.
The owner before me and myself both kept the car under a car cover. The plan was to fully restore it until my family and I decided to relocate. Comes with all interior panels that were mostly removed on the interior of the car to start body work. One thing that was never gotten around to is the floor panels which would be one of the most pressing things to attend to as the rot got through (ground is visible, see pictures). Frame still in decent condition though. The vehicle has minor damage in the back additionally as well that can be seen that was the result of a tree branch that collided into the trunk of the vehicle during a storm that seemed to have cracked both tail-lights.
The grill was removed to work as part of the restoration. Those come with the car in addition to all the panels. Bought separately is the the original carpet for a Saab 900 Turbo of the same year (bought for $400). After the body is sealed up and the carpet is replaced, that car would basically be complete besides the turnover issue, the mechanical concerns I've found are limited. In the spirit of transparency I've tried to be as thorough in my write-up as possible here and photograph as much as the car as possible to show you the buyer exactly what you're getting.
For someone with a little patience this can be a fully restored SPG or a parts car. I'd still recommend for a restoration as it ran and drove beautifully with no transmission issues. As this is not something that can be driven off a lot at this time it should go without saying, but the vehicle is being sold 'As Is' and without warranty. Comes with title. It's my hope this car goes to a Saab enthusiast or someone that can appreciate it that is new to Saabs. Anyone who knows this car knows how rare they are and have surely noticed them getting up to $50,000+ on Bring A Trailer. I'm open to talking on the phone BRIEFLY with people that message me through eBay to cover any quick questions not addressed here in addition to answering any questions directly through eBay.
DISCLAIMER & TERMS OF SALE: This is a rare car auction, not a yard sale. The terms of the sale are strict and enforced. My family and I are moving and don't have time for indecisive people. If you bid, you buy, because eBay will charge me regardless. Full payment (not a deposit) will be expected within 72 hours of the auction ending. I'll accept Zelle, CashApp, Wire Transfer or perhaps another medium if we agree in advance BEFORE the auction ends. Cash on pick-up is also welcome ONLY if you can pick up within 72 hours (no exceptions). Showing up kicking tires and attempting repairs will have you trespassed from the property. If you don't follow through, I will take immediate action with eBay against you obviously making you ineligible to purchase the vehicle and banned from any future bidding on my auctions. Harsh perhaps, but there is currently an epidemic of these types of individuals, even if you're not. The car should be picked up within 7 days of the auction ending; the car will be kept at or within 10 miles of the 'Item Location' for pick-up. I reserve the right to cancel bids (non-communication) or end the auction early. Lastly, as mentioned, this vehicle is being sold AS IS with ALL SALES BEING FINAL.If you don't like these terms, PLEASE don't bid.
Serious buyers, welcome. Day Dreamers, take a hike. Happy Bidding.
