1961 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II Drophead Coupe, by H.J. Mulliner [Recent Photos Coming Soon]-Confirmed 1 owner car, history known to Cooper Classics-Full Mechanical Recommissioning just completed, totaling over 155K [including engine rebuild, etc]-Only about 400 miles since restoration-Original colors of Porcelain White, Original Red Interior, and Burgundy Everflex roof-Recently repainted to professional standards-Mechanically sound and ready for enjoyment-All receipts, all books and manuals, and all original tools-One of 75 ever built Cooper Classics is proud to offer this 1961 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud II Drophead Coupe, with coach work by H.J. Mulliner. This is a one owner car, that was owned since new by Basha Rudin, Wife of Lewis Rudin, noted real estate magnate. The car was recently made available to us on behalf of her estate. Mrs. Rudin stopped using the car for a period of time, and then in 2016 commenced a multi-year recommissioning of the car, replacing and servicing multiple aspects of the car to prep it for roadworthiness. Unfortunately she never got to enjoy the benefit of her restoration due to her passing. In total, roughly $155K was spent on mechanical work alone. This includes a full engine rebuild, full suspension overhaul, transmission and differential service, amongst other countless service items, all contained within the numerous service records in our possession detailing work that was done. In addition, since the Silver Cloud II came into our possession, we commissioned a full repaint of the car in its original Porcelain white. The interior retains its origina, excellent condition red door panels, seats, and wood- with the exception of the new carpeting in the cabin and in the trunk, which is brand new Wilton carpeting in the correct red color. The top is a newer replacement, in the correct Burgundy everflex material. Cooper Classics serviced this car roughly 35 years ago, for Mrs. Rudin and as a result this car and its history as a one owner car are well known and confirmed by us. The car looks elegant and stately, and is highly original, while also being mechanically sound, with all major aspects of the car recently serviced. This car is one of 75 LHD Drophead coupes, and its value is well known, with a similar example sold at $520,000 at a recent auction.
