1985 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit/Spur/Dawn Additional Info:
This is a well documented and thoroughly serviced 1985 Rolls-Royce Silver Spur that has covered a mere 51,205 miles since new. This Spur is stunning in its Masons Black livery complimented with Black Everflex applied to the roof. The paint looks wonderful with only a few small paint chips and the Everflex has some bubbling underneath as shown in the photo gallery. We love the 1997 Rolls Royce Spur alloy wheels and hub caps that the owner installed. Even the spare has the correct matching wheel. This really updates the look of the Rolls! And the tinted glass provides just a hint of privacy to its occupants. The interior is very nice overall. The Magnolia leather hides are soft and supple and have been recently redyed. The two contrasting veneers for the wood accents are in good condition with only slight cracking showing throughout. As a note of interest, that car was originally delivered from the factory in Crewe to a purchaser in Monaco. For this reason this Spur has dual SU-HIF7 carburetors instead of the Bosch fuel injection. Another interesting difference that weve never seen on a Rolls of this era are the lower white lens on the front parking lights. The 400 watt Sony MEX-XB100BT Receiver/CD player with the 250 watt self powered subwoofer (under the passenger seat) produces phenomenal sound through the 4 Helix door speakers installed. Our consignment client has owned this Spur for nearly ten yeas. A partial list of the major mechanical upgrades that have been performed are as follows: New Rack and Pinion Steering Unit, New Front Brake Calipers (4), Complete New Self Leveling Rear Suspension, New Radiator, Complete Rebuild of Dual SU-7 Carburetors, New custom carpet throughout cabin and trunk, New Bilstein front struts and bushings, New Goodyear Narrow Stripe Whitewall Tires and New Ball Joints in Front Suspension. The car is in excellent mechanical and hydraulic condition and it comes complete with all the record receipts of the repairs and upgrades. The owner has driven the car from Arizona to California and back several times since he's owned it with no trouble or problems. This is one of the 671 LHD Silver Spurs produced in 1985. Being fitted with carburetors, this example should continue to prove to be dependable for regular use. The Spur is complete with spare keys, a stack of service receipts, tools and records, but does not come with the owners manual.
