1932 Rolls Royce coach made by Park Ward Coach Works. It is a 2025 Series Limousine.
Here for auction is my highly rare 1932 Rolls Royce coach made by Park Ward Coach Works. It is a 2025 Series Limousine,Body# GZU4C Engine# M2Y
I purchased this Rolls Royce on May 27th, 2007 from a fellow in San Diego CA. who represented the Phoenix AZ owner. “I have the Arizona Title”. It is now in storage in Northern California.
The Rolls Royce engine and transmission run beautifully. This car is totally complete from all its stainless-steel parts, all wood trims, tool drawer with all tools, owner’s manual and its beautiful flying lady.
Two years ago, I decided I would start working on it. It took me months to partially disassemble and catalog the body parts. This car was left in the Arizona sun for years and the wood frame and all the upholstery had dried and cracked. I also started to strip the old paint off the aluminum couch. I hired a cabinet maker to help me with reproducing the ash frame parts. (see pix)
This project is more then I bargained for, so I am selling this great old car to somebody who wants the privilege of restoring this eighty-six-year-old Rolls Royce.
Known history;
Warranty effective January 1933
1st 1933 Owned by a family in Enfield, Middlesex England
2nd 1938 Owners were a family in Stokes Pages, Buckinghamshire, England
3rd 1950’s Car was shipped to the US by a US Air Force Officer/Pilot stationed at Davis Montana
4th 1960’s In the late 1960's the car was purchased by Dr Beck, Tucson AZ
5th 1970’s Eventually the car was purchased by Fred Baron also of Arizona who got the car running and driving.
6th 1998 As the representative of the Phoenix AZ owner, we shipped the car to Chula Vista CA where it is currently being stored indoors. Fred started working on it and we are not sure of what all he did we think it only consisted of getting the car running and driving.
7th 2007 I purchased this Rolls Royce on May 27th, 2007 from a fellow in San Diego CA. who represented the Phoenix AZ owner. “I have the Arizona Title”. It is now in storage in Northern California where I started the retro project.
The car runs and drives pretty well actually and does have the original engine, running using a small auxiliary tank located under the hood. The car needs a complete restoration but when you consider it is 86 years old it’s in pretty darn good condition. The car does seem to sag a bit and the doors don’t line up perfectly, but the wood actually seems to be OK it’s not crumbling away like some old Chevys and Fords I have seen. I’m not really knowledgeable on these cars but I believe it to be complete. I’m sure there are some Rolls Royce aficionado’s out there who know a lot about these cars so feel free to Email me and I will post it to the add.
This car is being sold as is where is, if you have any questions, please feel free to ask and I will answer them to the best of my knowledge. The car is available for viewing in South San Francisco CA 94080 call me a 650-280-1472 to set up a date and time to view it.
Thank you for visiting my auction.
