This is one stunning 1967 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow with 29,486 miles. The velvet green coachwork is in excellent order and the tan leather interior has a lovely patina, commensurate with age and mileage. With an engine that purrs effortlessly, thisRolls-Royceis a delight to drive. Taking into account this vehicle is now half a century old, the style, comfort, reliability and presence of this delightfully handsome car is testament to the magnificent cars that were built byRolls-Royce.with hand painted gold fine-lines on the waist-rails and hubcap beauty rings. The Velvet green colour takes on a very formal and rich hue of green in sunlight and yet in the shade and at night presents as black. It's extremely rare and was used mostly by Rolls-Royce for limousines.
This first of the Silver Shadow series has beautiful chrome bumpers. It is a very true and straight example finished in sought after rare velvet green with tan Connolly leather interior, highlighted with hand-painted contrasting fine pin-striping to the waist-line and hub-cap beauty rings. This Silver Shadow was used in the 1986 movie "Wiseguys" with Danny Devito.
Beautifully and well maintained example to begin with and has been owned by a Rolls-Royce enthusiast since new. The body is straight & rust-free but the paint does show some wear and buff/burn marks, left from a buff years ago. The single stage 100% original paint still presents well. As stated up above in description the paint shows nice still but has flaws and a small ding on the drivers side front fender.
The interior is in stunning condition presenting in totally original format. The original leather is very good showing a nice degree of patina. The leather still is soft to the touch and has many years of life left. It has a very welcomed look. Overall, it is excellent in appearance with only displaying moderate use over the years. Importantly, there are no cuts, tears or worn patches. The carpets are the original Wilton wool and they are still super nice. The truck carpet is mint and original to this Rolls-Royce. even covering the battery door. The shut-off switch works perfectly. The burl walnut wood is excellent with the dash, front window embellishing and 4 door cappings are all original wood. The car has original picnic tables fitted to the rear of the front seats, they are beautiful. The dash-board is the high-light of the interior with a stunning wood-grain that displays, by the grace of nature, a heavy contrast of light and dark grains.The headlining is in perfect condition as is all glass and interior finishes. The rear parcel shelf is in fine original condition.
All chrome, stainless steel and bright-work is in stunning condition - as is the glass, lights and lenses all round. The main headlights are still fitted with the original “Lucas” units.
ThisRolls-Royce has aV8, 6750cc engine with an aluminium-silicon alloy block and aluminium cylinder heads with cast iron wet cylinder liners mated to a three-speed automatic transmission from General Motors. The engine purrslike a kitten and just glides down the road. All fluids have recently been changed and all mechanics have been gone through entirely. The entire braking system has been worked on and front calipers, brake pads are new. The complete was bled and all new fluid was replaced. This Rolls-Rolls stops effortlessly.The A/C on this Rolls-Royce will need a recharge as it blows somewhat cold. This Rolls-Royce is fitted with the original Michelin tires from many years ago with a small white wall. The suspension on this Rolls-Royce is perfect as it should be and there are zero noises.
This Rolls-Royce was fitted many years ago with a Pioneer head unit that still looks very vintage and works very well. The antenna goes upand down without failure. All the electronic features on this Rolls-Royce work perfectly. The drivers side tire was replaced a couple years ago with a Continental tire with matching whitewall. Unfortunately you can't get the vintage Michelin tires any longer.
