1971 Silver Shadow I.
Includes all tools and books in untouched condition. (NO) faults. 100% factory new functional. Original leather and original paint in exceptional condition. No cracks or crazing in the wood.
Impeccably kept and fastidiously maintained (Silver) Silver Shadow. Originally sold by the well known Albers RR/Bentley of Zionsville and maintained there until the late 90s. Greg Albers bought the car back on exchange and kept the car. It was sold later due to lack of use to the third owner. The third owner kept the car in the same area for about 15 years. I am the fourth owner. Never driven in inclement weather and maintained both mechanically and cosmetically to show standards. This is evident by the Best in Class plaque that this car received in show in 2015, he Best in Show trophy and the incredible underhood condition of all components.
In 1996 The odometer stopped working around 74500 miles. Greg Albers says that the history on file shows a new speedometer was factory ordered and installed at his dealership and started with (0) miles. Current reading is about 12500 miles. Total around 87000. There is a small decal in the door jamb documenting the exchange and a call to Albers Bentley of Zionsville can also confirm - HOWEVER - Please refrain from calling them unless you are serious about purchasing this car. Included is also the service history from Albers which I was able to procure.
Emissions exempt in California and I believe most states with testing. Qualifies for collector plates in all states.
Recent service included brake hoses, ads, luid flush, eservoir rebuild, nd fluid pump rebuilds along with a fresh oil change, ifferential fluid, oolant and transmission fluid. The electric choke has also been rebuilt. In the 90's the rear axles were converted to the Shadow II booted type. The car runs out perfect, he air conditioning has been completely rebuilt and will freeze you out of the car on the hottest day, ll of the climate servos operate flawlessly, he steering is without play and effortless. All of the electronics work. The seats zip back and forth up and down like new. The windows go up and down like new. The rear windows are not sluggish as they usually are in these shadows. The leather is supple and undamaged, he wood is crack free, he headliner is impeccable. Flawless wrap around chrome bumpers and monolithic grille really set off the shape off the car as a true classic. In fact all of the bright work around the car is without flaw. This car is a show winner for obvious reasons.
A good Shadow is a car for a lifetime.

This is mainly the reason we do not own/sell American cars (with a few pre-war exceptions). However, ometimes we need to make decisions in regards to redundant cars in the collection, hanging tastes and cars that just are not used. Other times we find something just plain interesting to offer. These cars show up here for sale. As mechanics that specialize in European cars we find it fairly simple to keep the cars in top shape. They are meant to be driven at any given time weather permitting so each car gets the shop time it needs. This means the resulting car is as good as it can be. All of our cars are at least 25 years old and though in exceptional original condition for their age or restored at some point, hey are not new. We service and drive these cars ourselves, ut we can miss something due to the number of cars we maintain.
