Possibly the Nicest Jankel 42" Stretch on the Planet!!

Greetings to All!! imotors is quite pleased to offer one of the most unique and rare Rolls Royces Available anywhere! These 42" stretch limousines were created especially for the US market. There were only 64 built between 1985 and 1988(according to www.silverspirit.com). They were all hand stretched Silver Spurs, with the coachwork being performed by Robert Jankel Design(Similar to the Corniche being built at Mulliner Park Ward). The cars were then returned to Crewe for final finishing. Totally hand built, you can only imagine the quality of craftsmanship that is present!!! This is one Fantastic motorcar!!
This particular example has been with the same prominent family in New York since sometime in 1989. I have about 168 pages of documentation that I received from The Rolls Royce foundation. It documents the car's history from build to sometime in the early 90's. The Carfax report documents and verifies the low actual mileage up untill our purchase. in the last several years, our Jankel limousine was used very sparingly....some years it traveled less than 100 miles!
Our 1987 Rolls Royce Silver Spur limousine is cosmetically excellent with no rust or weather damage present. The Georgian silver over Mason's Black paint is bright and shiny with no damage, as is all of the chrome and brightwork. The black Everflex roof is unmarked and has no underneath bumps at all!!!
The sumptuous Black leather interior with Slate piping is just stunning, and is 98% original(we had the drivers bolster touched up). There is some very minor cracking in some of the urethane coating on wood panels. There are several detailed photos below. All power options and accessories work as designed except the cruise control. I can get the TV and VCR to power up, but no picture(1987 technology!). Both front and rear sound systems and antennas work correctly, as does all of the Limousine equipment. Both front and rear climate control systems also perform as designed, with Ice Cold A/C.
Our Rolls Royce 42" Stretch Jankel Limousine runs and drives Fantastic!!! It is smooth and quiet with no unpleasantries noted! We have just had the oil and filter changed, and installed a rebuilt A/C compressor. Also, both hydraulic pumps have been re-sealed. Both batteries are new. The whitewall Michelins have lots of tread, but are very old(1995). replacement is recommended before long distance driving. I have all of the books and manuals, along with the factory issued Press kit. Large and small tools are present, as are the original factory issued Mouton overmats.
I have test driven our limo for about 150 miles, and I am amazed at how small it feels on the highway. It has that Rolls Royce "Magic carpet' float about it.
