Vehicle Details
I'm listing this car for my good friend and fellow shelby enthusiast. Being a cobra owner myself and having had 3 prior I'm very familiar with the company's building them and have driven many of them for the past 30+yrs. This manufacturer, http://uniquemotorcars.com/turnkey-prices Unique Motorcars has been priducing cobra replicas since 1979, and has outlasted the majority of their competitors. To replicate this car less the drivetrain would be 60k plus! To replicate this car from turnkey price you would be close to 100k. At this cars reserve the drivetrain comes free!! To begin with, if you are looking for a "restomod" cobra this isn't your car! If you are a purist pay attention! For starters it was a factory turn key assembled car, not a homebuilt. The attention to detail is unmatched. It has the deepest gloss black paint layer on a flawlessly prepped body. The white stripes aren't just white...they are Wimbledon white, as they should be and done with laser precision. Wheels are 15 in as were the original cars! Interior layout is correct and original looking. The best part of this car is what lies under the hood. This is a REAL and EXTREMELY RARE 68 Ford 427 side oiler FE. Regardless what people say about newer is better there isn't a substitute for the real sound and feel of an FE like this. This car is brutally powerful with enough REAL torque on demand to leave your molars behind at the intersection you just launched from! It's also not a dual rollbar car with all the jazzed up accessories that draw away from authentic looks. It sits, sounds, drives and accelerates as close to an original car as you can get including correct number of rivets on the hood and scoop. Here's a rundown of need to knows...427 Side oiler... (Believed to be 68 block) w real cobra jet heads, edlebrock intake, and carb. MSD electronic ignition, remote oil cooler w/fan, dual fan Griffin Radiator, SW gauges, Authentic Wood steering wheel, TREMEC 5 sp, JAG IRS w/ quad coilover suspension, 4 wheel disc brakes (Wilwood Front Caliper, Girling Master Cylinders, Hydraulic Clutch and line lock E-Brake, Anti theft Bat cutoff switch and dash electrical cut off. Halibrand style wheels with functional spinners. Drives and brakes straight. There is a distinct difference between homebuilt and factory built cars. One look under and over this car tells the story. If you want a car that will make someone question is it real or not you're close here. Most replicas loose the game when it comes to stance, original cars were very low slung road huggers, look closely at how this sits! ERA and Kirkhams have it nailed down along with Unique! The reserve can easily be met for this car, the only reason it's being sold is he is going with a Daytona coupe to replace a previous one he owned and parted with. Someone will be extremely pleased with this car and it is turnkey and ready to drive. No worries of needing to complete. It's done and ready to drive. Another perk...its titled a 1965 shrlby roadster! I reserve the right to end auction early, good luck.
