This sweet little roadster was built by John Thawley in 1982 and used to promote Buick Motor Division aftermarket parts.
It is the cover car for “How to build a Repro Rod”, showing Junior Johnson and John. The car is also on the inside cover of Jim Ruggles' “Buick Performance Guide.” And on page 67 of “Buick performance years.”The car was purchased by a high ranking Buick executive 1986 and remained in the collection for 28 years. The car is in excellent original condition and is part of Buick’s legendary performance history. Included are custom lapel pins with the Buick "6" logo that was part of the PR campaign.Buick 3.8L V-6,bored to 4.1L, 4 barrel naturally aspirated, bop TH350 transmission, with column shift.
