1964 Renault Dauphine that has been in a California ( Silicon Valley area) warm climate, enclosed garage since 1979. I saved this car due to it's 99.9375% RUST FREE CONDITION!!!...COULD NOT FIND ANY rust through areas anywhere!!!...only minor surface rust, even the battery box is 100% intact with NO rust through areas!!! Car still retains it's ORIGINAL factory paint both exterior & interior. Car does have some minor dings & dents, but overall a PERFECT candidate for a restoration based on the RUST FREE condition of the body/frame/undercarriage!!! Car's frame is LASER STRAIGHT with NO indication of any accidents or damage as the 100% original paint is GREAT proof of NO ACCIDENTS!!! The engine is missing the cylinder head & the pistons do NOT move in the cylinders, possibly some oil & patience will free the pistons. Pictures are worth a "1,000 words" so here are some pictures... Please feel free to ask "Any & ALL questions"...as the owner of 18 Sports Cars, I'm well versed in what constitutes an Excellent foundation for a car to be restored, and without wanting to sound like a broken record or a well worn cliche...I believe a person looking for a 1964 Renault Dauphine to restore would be HARD PRESSED to find a more RUST FREE example!!!
