The F6 was Factory built on the R4(Sedan) platform. Coming equipped with sliding windows, the largest 1108cc 34hp engine, 4 spd manual, drum brakes- with front parking brakes.
They were made to be a all around work, play, utility vehicle. Not to mention- incredibly reliable! Cheap on gas too… Very popular in South America.
This example is a 2wd model, built in France. It was imported by the previous owner around 2013. The tags came with the car at the time.
Yes it has a clear Virginia title, in my name..
From what I’ve learned, these are incredibly rare in the states, have only found 2 others here..
Even in Europe these things are scarce.
As of right now, the car is ready for the new owner to drive away.
The car runs, rides, stops, steers- all very well. I’ve had it up to 80mph. Does great on the interstate(rides really floaty!). Always starts easy. Never over heats.
Really simple to be around. Hauls feed, and straw fantastically.
Yes it has a heater, but never had a radio. Though it has an Antenna?
For 34hp it is not lacking any power, quite a tourky little motor.
The previous owner installed a new radiator, and K/N Air Filter.
In the last year I have done the following:
New Battery
Jahn Headlight bulbs
Vacuum Advance pod
Installed new drivers fender
Alternator Bearings
Idler Pulley bearings
4 front Wheel bearings
Tail lights
Rebuilt front brakes(shoes, hoses, cylinders).
Fluid changes.
It also comes with
Every manual you will ever want in PDF format, and one printed out
2 extra mounted spares(3 in total)
Another fender
New:
Clutch Cable
Water Pump
Rear brake kit
Front turn signals
Radiator hoses
The main issue with the car is- rust in the front floor, bottom of rear door. These cars have a double floor, kinda like a sealed box. A replacement can be found in France, or you can just continue to drive it.
I left it un painted, so nothing is hidden. Though soon after buying it, I did the white patches, and used stainless rivets to hold it. Was better than nothing..
I keep it dry, and inside a garage- so the rust matters little to me. Should at least spray it with oil / wax if nothing else.
Also the muffler should be replaced(again easy to source from France), has a hole in it. The muffler is in the drivers fender. Some new mirrors would be nice too.
It is many shades of white, so a paint job wouldn’t be a bad idea. Still has a natural shine to it. I like it the way it is, looks good enough.
It is located in Maurertown, VA 22644
A $200 deposit is required, within 24 hours of listing ending.
The balance is due within 1 week from listing ending(cash is highly preferred, paypal fine for full balance). I would like this to be picked up within the same week. I am QUITE flexible on a pickup time range, please ask for the details-before bidding.
It can be shipped, driven, hauled, towed, or carried by a flock of well trained pigeons. All of which is up to the buyer to sort out.
For those seriously interested in this. I always like odd, small, and or screwy vehicles not seen every day. If you have something up this alley, and really like the R4- we could work something out.
A few things that would tickle my fancy are: Daf Cars, Most anything car shaped and 2 cycle, Panhard, Citroen, Peugeot, Simca, Hillman, Borgward, Eastern Block things, Lancia, Small Fiats....
