1985.5 Porsche 944 - Low Miles - Great Condition - No Reserve

Long considered the red-headed step children of the Porsche family, 944s are finally beginning to get the respect they so richly deserve. As an entry-level Porsche model for those of modest means, 944s are reliable (if properly maintained) and about as easy as a Porsche gets to turn wrenches on. This 1985.5 Porsche 944 is a very clean, unmolested example that is virtually unmodified from the stock. We love the classic Kalahari Beige Metallic paint over Chocolate brown cloth/vinyl interior. Comes with the especially desirable color-coded forged Fuchs wheels sitting on excellent Toyo tires.The body and undercarriage are in really nice shape. On close inspection we found no signs of rust. Interior is very clean and well-kept. Unusually, the dash is free of any cracks...a strong sign this 944 was stored indoors when not in use.

Mechanically this 944 is very sound. The engine starts up and sounds great. Transmission is smooth shifting and clutch is strong. Driving this low-mileage 944 is a real pleasure. It's tight, responsive balanced and comfortable...exactly what you would expect out of a well-maintained 944 with just 98k original miles.

A few flaws should be noted:

- Small dimple dings in a few places.
- A/C turns on but does not blow cold. I would assume a recharge is needed.
- at some point the car was professionally resprayed in its original Kalahari Beige Metallic.

Professional pre-purchase inspections are welcome but must be made before the auction ends. Please ask any question before bidding. However, with all pre-owned automobiles, the condition is subjective, so we recommend that the potential buyer fly out to inspect as well as test drive any of the vehicles before finalizing purchase. If your personal inspection is not possible, we will be glad to help facilitate an inspection by your chosen local independent service center and will make arrangements to deliver the vehicle to them for this purpose.
