1970 Porsche 911 Additional Info:
"Albert" is a very special Porsche, not only is his color ultra rare, but, his life from new is known and documented; every moment of it. This car has had 4 owners but, what makes that interesting is that all of the owners know one another, they are all PCA members and they are all best of friends. There really isn't ANYTHING that is not known about the car or that has not been documented........ This may be one of, if not THE most honest 1970 911T out there and it really is stunning......
The car was delivered on March 20, 1970 in Boise, Idaho. Delivery book, service book (dealer stamped to 1982, when the dealer closed in Spokane),service receipts, owner's manual, tools, Jack, spare, Certificate of Authenticity, etc. are with the car. The amount of documentation can only be described as extraordinary !
The car is finished in very rare Albert blue over Black. The car received one respray to its original color some time ago and to aremarkablyhigh standard with all glass removed. This is a numbers matching car as per the COA. The cars chrome wheels are date stamped as is the spare. The tires are new. The car is equipped with "S" brakes as per the COA. Everything, inclusive of the radio functions on the car. There is NO RUST in the car and there never has been. floors are perfect and original.
The car's original engine was refreshed at approximately 100,000 miles, Carrera oil fed tensioners were installed. The car starts and runs perfectly. There is no excessive smoke on start up either cold or warm. The engine does seep some oil, though nothing serious or to be concerned over. An oil service and valve adjustment were just recently performed and the car driven to Portland Oregon and back for the Historics at PIR without a single hick-up. It performs flawlessly.
The transmission was just recently overhauled and the clutch replaced. It shifts perfectly. Brake pedal pressure is excellent as well as modulation; Porsche perfect. Steering is spot on, with no play. The car tracks perfectly. Albert is simply a joy to drive, long distances are covered magically.
The car's interior is completely original and shows remarkably well. Yes, the seats have some wear but keep in mind the car is 46 years old. The dash is excellent with only a few minor cracks in the speaker grill. Carpeting is excellent as is the original headliner. The door pockets could use a little love....
Albert is a pretty rare Porsche, not only in color but, for how well the car has been looked after and cared for. It really is a remarkable car and again, perhaps one of the most honest and original examples in an ultra desirable color available anywhere..... Albert is magic.... drive this car anywhere you want, right now.
Happy bidding..... You may want to take what is happening in Monterey this weekend and scoop this wonderful Porsche up quickly :) Good luck !Questions are encouraged...smart questions :) Inspections encouraged as well......GLADLY !!!!
I reserve the right to sell the car at any time.
