For your consideration is this spectacular low mile 911SC which is in outstanding condition inside and out !
I am the third owner of this 911. Years ago I fell in love with these 911SC's, got educated. After my research I started my search with several "must-haves" . 1) A well maintained Low Mile engine 2) The original 85MPH speedometer for proper lineage. ( Most SC'sspeedomoters havebeen swapped outfor the 160MPH Speedo. It was federally mandated that All 911SC's that came to the states were assembledwith the85MPHSpeedowith exception of 1983 models) 3) Platinum Metallic Paint - not such a common color for these SC's and felt it matched well with this body style. Itwas an$645 dollar option back in 1982. 4) Full Chrome Fuchs - opposedto most Fuchs of this era which werepartiallypainted to match body color. The whale tail and front spoiler were a bonus! After 1-1/2 years I was happy tofinallyfind her !
This car has been pampered for the 25,000 miles I've driven it, she has only seen rain three times in the thirteen years I've owned her. With the help of the West Michigan's PCA preferred mechanic, this bullet proof 3.0 engine runs strong and has no issues. The necessary updates (chain tensioner, updated ignition) have been completed. She shifts seamlessly through the gears with no issues. There are no strange noises or vibrations, squeaks or rattles. This 911 drives straight and true ! There is nothing indicating that this car is 34 years old. The tires are new, showing no wear with just over 400 miles on them. The full leather seats were reupholstered professionally in the original tan color and were ordered direct from the only German supplier that inventories them. Issues with the car as follows. There are the typical small stone chips on the front end but can only be seen if the light is right. Two small scratches on the passenger door (see picture with finger pointing at it) that could probably be buffed out. With my last oil change, my mechanic suggested the original brake lines should be replaced sometime soon. They were inspected and are fine, but preventive maintenance is what we do. When I purchased this vehicle the air-condition belt was not hooked up, which was fine by me. I drive this 911 with no rain in sight and Targa Top off ! I have never had a need for an A/C with top off herein Michigan. So, I have no idea if it works.I have a clean A+ Car-fax, A full life of this cars maintenance history, and a clear title in hand. If you have any questions I'll be glad to answer them.
