1972 Porsche 911 RS targa replica Additional Info:
This is a very solid 1972 California (oil cap on right corner panel) 911 E Targa that was converted to an R/S by the addition of rear steel flares, 6" & 8" Fuchs, thru the body front sway bar, SC front suspension and brakes, and R/S door panels. The original 2.4 engine has been modified to a very peppy yet reliable 230 horsepower. The mechanical fuel injection was retained and rebuilt. This work was done in the early 80's in Southern California.
The rest of the car is original and in excellent condion. I added an Alpine AM-FM- CD player. I used it as my primary car from 2000-2004. Then, for a change and a search for cheaper horsepower, I bought a few other vehicles - Porsche 914 V8, RX7 twin turbo, Lotus Elise, etc.
In 2005 I delveped cancer which left my left leg very weak and painful. Clutching was difficult and not fun anymore. I stopped using my sports cars on a regular basis. Today I uncovered this 911, dusted it off, put in a new battery, drove it onto the street, took some pictures and listed it on eBay.
Thanks for looking. Any questions or interest in seeing this fine example in beautiful Monterey County, California please call 831-229-6222

Some additional things I noticed:The engine # is 6220440. It has seat rail adaptors which means the leather seats are probably out of an 80's 911.Both the front hood and rear engine cover shocks do not hold the lids up.The dashboard has no cracks or wear.
