Update this has double carbs, I will be adding more picturestomorrow.
I hate to sell the car, but I have two little kids and I just don't have the time to drive it.
This model utilizes a Volkswagen Chassis with rear mounted engine and a Perry-D custom fiberglass body that is bolted directly to the chassis.
The car was built by certified welder and he built this car with a protective roll bar package that includes reinforcement under the dash and a roll bar behind the driver and passenger . The added stiffness of this setup helps this car to handle well.
-It is titled, registered in California.-It's registered as a 68 VW and therefore does not require a Smog certificate.-only the milage gauge works and the speed, the other two can be replaced for a few hundred dollars (see picture driving)-The car runs great anddoesn'thave any drivability problems.-The transmission is a '68 VW transaxle which shifts like any typical good condition VW transmission does. It runs at 70-75 mph with no problems. Higher gears can be installed if desired.-The engine is rebuilt and only has 2383 miles on it-The engine is a typical VW with double carb and not a high performance version.-roll bars under the dash and in the rear compartment behind the seat, plus the over the head roll bar U-Tube protectors which can be seen in the photos.-included is a built-in trickle battery charger that will keep the battery properly charged duringtimesthe caris not used.-installed an adjustable front I Beam as part of the front suspension. This allows the front of the car to be adjusted to the proper height level and also helps adjust the wheelalignment.
