Vehicle Details

1967 Porsche 912 PLEASE WATCH THE VIDEO HERE https://youtu.be/64OSBc0f3Mc?is=cJStQrdGDr8ouyLR For sale is a very well-documented 1967 Porsche 912 Coupe, finished in the desirable original Aga Blue, color code 6608, over a Black Leatherette interior. This is an exceptionally documented example. We purchased the vehicle from an older gentleman in Santa Cruz, California, who owned it for almost 10 years. He purchased it from a friend who had owned the car for over 35 years. The car has been locally owned in California for essentially its entire life, and it comes with an unbelievable amount of documentation dating back decades. We have the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, which verifies the car as a 1967 Porsche 912 Coupe/Karmann, VIN 462800, and documents the original engine number 836985 and transmission number 238341. The certificate also confirms the original Aga Blue 6608 exterior color and Black Leatherette interior. The car is powered by its numbers-matching 1.6-liter flat-four engine, mated to its factory 5-speed manual transaxle. The engine fires right up, runs strong, sounds good and has plenty of power. It is equipped with a Weber carburetor upgrade along with other mechanical upgrades. The mechanical history is one of the highlights of this car. The extensive original service records document multiple major engine/top-end rebuild services performed at different points in the car’s life, along with repeated valve adjustments, carburetor tuning and other engine work. The documentation also shows more than one clutch service, including documented clutch disc, pressure plate/cover, throw-out bearing, pilot needle bearing and main seal replacement, as well as flywheel-related service. There are also records documenting extensive ignition, fuel-system, electrical, starter, exhaust, heater, lubrication and general preventative maintenance. The file includes a remarkable collection of original Porsche repair orders, specialist invoices and parts receipts, providing an unusually detailed mechanical history for a 912 of this era. The transmission shifts well through all gears. The brakes and clutch both feel good. The car is fitted with Fuchs-style wheels and new Pirelli tires. The body presents very straight and, based on our inspection, shows no evidence of major accident damage. There is no significant rust visible anywhere on the car. The underside, engine compartment and mechanical components have also been photographed. Included with the car are the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, original books, owner’s manual, tool kit and an extensive collection of service records and receipts dating back decades. The sheer volume of documentation is what really sets this 912 apart.
