We purchased this vehicle from a gentleman who owned a mechanic shop in Santa Barbara. He originally purchased it from a client about 25 years ago and kept it in his private collection ever since. Unfortunately, he passed away a year ago, and his son sold us the car. The cosmetic condition is very original inside and out. It retains the majority of its original paint, and the interior has never been touched. The paint is deep and glossy, and the interior is in excellent condition. It is powered by its original 3.0L engine mated to a 915 transaxle. I was told the engine was rebuilt at Scientific Motorsports in Pasadena in the early 2000s. I attempted to contact them for records, but unfortunately they no longer keep documentation from that far back. Mechanically, the car runs and drives great. The ride is smooth and sporty, the motor sounds excellent and has plenty of power, and the transmission shifts unbelievably smoothly through all gears. The brakes and clutch feel great. It retains the original A/C unit, which still blows somewhat cool. There are no known oil leaks. The car offers a clean title with no signs of previous accidents.
