1967 Porsche 911 2.0 6cyl believed to be a 2 owner car NO RUST Garaged in California desert for the past 20+ years. Invested in professional 35 year air cooled Porsche mechanic to service, tune and completely service and rebuilt weber carbs. Car is straight with few if any dings. The primer spots covered paint chips to prevent any surface rust. Odometer reads 69k and may be close to original. I have known the original owners to this car for the past 20 years and I am currently assisting finding a new home for it to re-invest in medical bills. This car will need the brakes, fuel system serviced, and new tires and overall restoration. Car can be started and ran. Transmission condition is unknown. 4 speed transmission. Original keys are misplaced and a new ignition will need to be installed. Undercarriage and rockers show no signs of rust. Original paint. Please message for more information, photos or anything else missing. Please feel free to reach out for viewing. Closest airport is Las Vegas plus a one hour commute to my location. Another option is there is a local private airport approx. 15 minute commute from here.
Here's more information:
1. Year, Make, and Model.
•1967 Porsche 911
2. A brief description of the status of the vehicle (e.g., condition, originality, color, restored, rebuilds, etc?)
•All stock, no modifications. Original paint. Has a few spots with some grey primer. Never been in an accident that I'm aware of. Not restored. Interior will need some upholstery/headliner.
The car has had only two owners. I don't know exactly what year the second owner purchased it or how many miles each owner put on the car.
The second owner purchased in the car in the Los Angeles area and it was his daily ride to work as an aerospace engineer in Redondo Beach Calif.
The car has been sitting a garage in the Mojave desert California, not running from 2009 to 2020. From 2020 to 2026 it has been garaged in Pahrump Nevada.
From 2009 to 2024 it has not been fired up. Before 2009 it was sitting in a barn in the San Diego area not running, my guess is it sat there for 2-3 years. Before that, I don't know any details.
The motor was checked over by a Porsche mechanic and fired up Dec 2024. The mechanic is available for phone call questions. Before being fired up, new cam chain tensioners were installed, very important with this type of motor after it's been sitting for a long time.
Video of the running motor done right after repairs is available. The carburetors were completely taken apart and rebuilt.
No work was done on the brakes, brake lines etc. They will likely need attention as they are not working. Fuel tank was bypassed at the Dec 2024 start up...I'm sure the tank will need a good cleaning.
A leak down test was done Dec 2024 after engine was fired up - cylinder #1 had a 4% loss, #2 had a 5% loss, #3 had 4% loss, #4 had 4% loss, #5 had 4% loss, #5 had 4% loss and #6 had 8% loss (rings?).
