2.0 - Air Conditioning - NO RESERVE - 180 PHOTOS

Thanks for checking out my 1976 Porsche 914 2.0. This will make someone a nice little driver, that they can enjoy and work on at the same time. The 914 models are starting to get aa lot attention which they should have along time ago, they are fun cars to drive they are nimble, mid engine car with great balance, they have all the makings of a entry level sports car for sure. This is the more desirable 2.0 version, and this car has dealer installed DPD Air Conditioning. The AC is not currently working, I have not looked into it, but everything is there from what I can see, the belt is on the pump itself so it is free, it will probably need some work, but great that it was installed on this car for the next guy. This 914 is in very good shape, it is a looker for sure, but it does have some rust repair needs but overall is a very solid car that someone can enjoy. If you are looking for a 2.0 914 this will be a very good one to own, this is NO RESERVE, top bid will get it. If you are interested in a buy it now, let me know, thanks, Jason 503-910-208

The body on this car in general is pretty sound. The paint is about 25 years old, but it does shine up overall. But as you look at the pictures, there are chips and small scratches. You can see on top of the hood, some hard water spots, the car could use a deep waxing to make it look even better for a driver, at least it is one color!!! The paint on the trunk area in the rear has some spotting in it, were it looks thin etc. The biggest issues are that it does have some of the typical rust that these cars do get, but structurally it is really sound, inside the wheel wells, the inner tubs, the shock mounts and inner front and rear trunk areas and bulk heads all look good. For rust this is what needs repaired, around the bottom of the front of the windshield the cowl panel at the base of windshield has some pitting underneath, and will need to be repaired you can see were it has been touched up and paint is missing. The passenger door does have some small bubbles in it, and the passenger rocker panel does have some bubbles in it. If you look at the lines on the car, and gaps they are very good for a 914, which means a very solid sub structure, the rust it has is very isolated. If you look inside the doorjams they look very good, veryclean, no rust issues very solid which is very good news. The pan underneath is decent, but the passenger side has the typical battery rust through, so basically the passenger floor needs to be replaced down the road. The rest of the car underneath is actually pretty impressive and in good shape besides that floor. See pictures of inside and out, and you will get a very good idea of what it is when it comes to the body. It will need paint down the road, it could use a restoration, but it is a very good car, this is one you could drive everyday if you wanted back and forth to work etc, it is very dependable. The glass is in good shape, the doors shut nicely, no cracks in the windshield, targa top goes on nicely.

Mechanically it is in pretty good condition. I have driven the car a lot and it does have good power, the engine starts right up, and idles pretty good, it does not blow smoke very clean actually. It has been upgraded with Dual Webers, which is a pretty nice add on one of these cars. The engine I believe is the original 2.0 GC engine, I guess to be 100% you would have to get a POA from Porsche, but it is a low sequence GC engine for 1976 model, and the car is a very early 1976 model built in 9 of 1975, I am pretty confident that it is numbers matching do your homework, I do show the engine number in the auction it is GC003343 and the cars vin is 4762900439, both very low numbers for 19796 models. It does not burn oil, and does not drip to much either, maybe a few small spots on the floor as it sits after driving it, but for a flat four it is in pretty good shape. The transmission shifts nicely, it is a 5spd manual if you are not used to driving one of these the pattern is very tight, but your get used to it. Overall mechanically it is in pretty good shape, it stops nice, I have had driven it some while I have had it, and the previous owner drive it often to the University were he is a professor there. He was sad to let it go, but his interest had changed, and decided to sell both his Porsches off to let someone else enjoy them. This one also has the optional Mahle Sundial wheels as well, which look nice on the car, they could use restored, but they are in good shape in general. Tires are in good condition, they have about 90% tread on them and match all the way around they are Nexen P185/65/15. Overall this is one that you can tinker with and enjoy at the same time while restoring.

The interior is original for the most part, and is in pretty good shape. It does have some wear but overall it is clean for a good driver quality 914. Under the dash you can see the optional AC unit, which looks nice in the car. The wipers work, headlights, all the exterior lights do work as well. Things it could use is new door gaskets and such, they are getting old and brittle. Overall look at the pictures and you will get a good idea of what it is and isn't. The gauges seem to be working, turnsignals, horn all work. The dash lights are a little sporadic, maybe something loose in switch, but I have gotten them to come one, maybe a little cleaning of the switch itself. The dome light works as well. There is little tear on the center rest as you can see. The area around the dome light, has shrunk a little bit so you can see a little gap between the light and seat rest. The carpet is decent as well for its age. The trunk rear button in the car is not working, but the rear remote latch button under the bumper does work so easy get in trunk. The front opens by latch under the dash. The clock is not working, what a surprise : ). Take a look at the photos and you can see what it looks like, there are over 100 photos in the auction.

I have been selling classic cars here on eBay since 2003, 12 years now, with around 600 classic cars sold over the internet. What I love about these old cars, is that I get to own some of my favorite cars one at a time, I have turned this passion into a business, but for me it is an awesome time to enjoy the cars themselves. It has been such a joy to do business with people all over the world. I have sold multiple cars to many buyers all over from Europe, Dubai, Australia, Japan, Brazil, just to name a few. It has always been a pleasure, getting to know other car enthusiast all over the Continent, especially some that have become very good friends of mine because of our love for cars. I look forward to doing business here on ebay for many years to come, and look forward to meeting some other like minded classic car nuts like myself. If you would like to call me and talk about the car, that would be great, would love to help you out, if you want to call and talk about cars, it would be my pleasure, I am on the hunt for any Interesting classics, odd ball and unique vehicles. Please, come out and personally take a look at it in person, or send a friend or inspector, or transporter, always better if possible to see it with your own eyes, I am close to major airport, and easy to get to. These are classic vehicles, with lots of history, almost years old, so they are used, not perfect, they don’t have warranties, or guarantees, they are as is, where is, nothing else is promised, I can’t possibly explain every little thing about a vehicle in writing, believe me I've tried, lol, seeing in person is always best, I try to give an good description, and normally over 75 photos at least, so you can get a good gauge of what it is, and isn’t. Look forward to hearing from you, please give me a call, 503-910-2085 - Jason
