Last time this will be listed. I have provided many pictures and a detailed description of the car. Read this entire text before asking questions as I get bombarded with them. Beautiful and rare (5-speed) 928S! Mature non-smoking owner. Platinum bronze metallic paint over flawless dark brown interior. No warping or cracking of the dash, which I have observed on a lot of 928's over the years. “928” floor mats. Kept in a climate-controlled garage. A small number of rock chips present at the front (you have to get up close to see them). Recent service (July of this year) including oil & filter changed, R & R thermostat, chassis lubed, recharged AC system w. R134a, TIMING BELT AND WATER PUMP as well as belt tensioner & gasket replaced. Receipts/records available since I took ownership in 2008 and I am the 3rd owner. Everything works including all lights, turn signals, flasher, horn, cruise control, cold AC, sunroof, clock, Alpine stereo, and power windows. Right power window motor replaced in June of this year. Tool kit is complete. Professionally tinted windows (small scratch on the driver's side window tint on the inside).
This is a very nice example of an iconic 80’s, still highly collectible and desirable Porsche. I have a collection so I never really drove it much, and didn't want to run up the mileage - only enough to keep things working. Starts right up and sounds like the beastly V-8 that it is! Drives like it's on rails and very strong. No leaks and doesn’t smoke. Tires have plenty of tread. Many parts I was able to obtain through 928 International in Anaheim, CA. They have always been an excellent resource. Just hop in and go! Pictures don't do this car justice! Great investment classic. Absolutely hate to say goodbye to her but I have an illness that requires me to downsize the collection.
Thank you very much for looking. On Oct-29-23 at 10:31:13 PDT, seller added the following information:
Recent replacement of the shift coupler in the gearbox. OCCASIONAL chatter between 1st and 2nd gear, usually when car is cold. This is not uncommon on these cars.
