1983 Porsche 911 SC Additional Info:
DetailsThis 1983 Porsche 911SC Cabriolet has been driven just 47,243 miles since new and is powered by an air-cooled 3.0L flat-6 engine through a 5-speed manual transmission. This three-owner vehicle wears its original black paint over a new black leather interior and a new black convertible top. Great care has been taken to preserve the originality of this vehicle. It has spent its life in New York and for the past 10+ years has been a seasonal driver in The Hamptons. It is currently located in Wading River, NY. Third-party photos and the inspection report show a vehicle that has been well-maintained and is in good condition. Only a light scratch and a small dent in the driver s door are evidence of the vehicle s age. The leather on the front seats was replaced three years ago and shows no wear. Similarly, the retractable soft top was recently replaced and appears still in its new condition. Mechanically, the inspection and road test confirm that the features of this classic 911 operate as designed. The vehicle comes with a clean CarFax report showing registration and documented mileage since its purchase in August 1983. Included in the sale are 1 set of keys, 2 car covers, a battery charger, the original radio, and a rare spare original clock. This 911SC Cabriolet is being sold through a Pro and is located in Wading River, NY. About the modelProduced for model years 1978 to 1983, the Porsche 911SC represented an important evolution from the Carrera 2.7 in the form of an aluminum engine. Displacement was increased to 3.0-litres, and it featured Bosch K-Jetronic fuel injection and a 5-speed 915 transmission. Originally power output was 180 PS (130 kW; 180 hp), later 191 PS (140 kW; 188 hp), and then in 1981 it was increased to 204 PS (150 kW; 201 hp). "SC" stood for "Super Carrera". Although the Coupe and Targa versions existed early on, the Cabriolet version was made available only for the 1983 model year. Worth noting that many 911 SCs have undergone significant body and mechanical modifications. The SC was discontinued with the introduction of the Carrera 3.2 in 1984. Features and Specs
