1984 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa Additional Info:

This 1984 Porsche 911 Carrera Targa is finished in Guards Red with a black roof over an interior reupholstered in Grey Beige leather, and is poweredby a replacement 3.0-liter flat-six paired with a 915 five-speed manual transaxle. The car is equipped with cruise control, an aftermarket Clarion stereo, and more.Approximately $15k has been spent on service between 2018 and 2019, including on replacement leather seat covers and carpets as well as new ignition and fuel system components, brake and clutch pedal assemblies, and more. This 911 shows just shy of 99k miles and is offered with partial service records (that span nearly 30 years) and a clean Oklahoma title in the seller’s name.
The car was finished in Guards Red (L027) from the factory, and while there has been portions of the body have been repainted, the paint has a nice luster. The condition of the finish and theblack Targa top is shown up close in the gallery above.
Staggered-width 16″ Fuchs wheels feature black centers and anodized lips, and are wrapped in Cooper CS5 Ultra-Touring tires which were fitted in 2019. The clutch and brake pedal assemblies, rear brake lines, three brake sensors, and the steering column bushing were replaced along with a brake fluid flush and clutch cable adjustment in 2018. The right rear wheel bearing was replaced, the front wheel bearings adjusted, and the right rear CV axle rebuilt in 2019.
The interior has been reupholstered in period correct Grey Beige leather with new matching carpets. Equipment includes cruise control, air conditioning, a rear window defogger, and an aftermarket Clarion stereo. The stereo powers on, but does not emit sound, and the air conditioner is not functioning.
Instrumentation includes a 170-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and an analog clock along with oil pressure, coolant temperature, oil level, and fuel level gauges. The six-digit odometer shows ~99k miles. One of the power window motors was replaced in 2018.

The 3.0-liter flat-six is said to have been installed by a previous owner, replacing the original engine. A valve adjustment and oil change were performed in 2018 as well as replacement of the spark plugs, distributor cap and rotor, oil level sender, shift rod bushing, and alternator.

Power is sent to the rear wheel via a 915 five-speed manual transaxle. A newfuel tank, pump, and lines were also fitted in 2018. Additional photos of the underside and suspension are available in the gallery above.

To sum up this Porsche 911 Carrera; it is a fine example of the highly coveted 911 Targa. While it is not a $100,000 concourse restored vehicle, it is a well-sorted and great driving example that you could enjoy and use. With the values increasing drastically, it is getting harder to find an affordable 911 that can be enjoyed and driven as it was intended. I wish you the best of luck and Happy Bidding!
