It is with a heavy heart that I am selling this wonderful car.
A restoration was commissioned by the previous owner in 2008 and carried out over a period of four years in Oregon and California, before being purchased by the me in January 2013and brought to New York.
She is just about perfect – no paint chips on the nose because I have religiously used the Colgan bra.
She runs and stops beautifully and is a 2018 Concours Best in 356 Class winner.
Retaining its factory color combination of Ivory over black leather, the car is powered by a 356SC engine and has also been fitted with 356C disc brakes and a Super 90 rear camber compensation.
It was lovingly restored by the former President of the Porsche Club of Oregon, Mr. Jack Jorgenson.Sadly, Mr. Jorgenson died in 2017 and several of his cars were sold by his wife.
The car was delivered with engine #606969, a 60 hp engine as shown on the COA. It now enjoys engine #810895, an SC engine with > 90hp from 1964 (best motor ever in a 356).
He also added the suspension components from a 356 S90 including the camber compensator. With the extra horsepower and upgraded suspension, I guess he decided to add the “90” script on the tail, where I think it looks beautiful.
It is a privilege and an honor owning this beautiful work of art. And driving it always leaves me with a big smile.
It is now offered with a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, owner’s manual, tool kit, Colgan nose bra, photos and invoices from the restoration, and NY registration.
Let me know if you have any other questions. I am happy to answer anything that I can. Good Luck on your bids!!
